Botanical Gardens Madrid

This was going to be my usual friday favourites post, but life gets in the way, and by life I mean my headache of a dissertation. Here's what I've been loving this week!

1. This post by Millydaydreams

This is a succinct yet poignant summary of the impact that social media has had on my generation - the 90's kids who constantly jumped from one new platform to the next best thing, the ones who can reply to a text without looking down at their phone, the quickest to adapt to new technologies, and those starting to feel the worst affected by the burdening feeling of being 24/7 connected to the internet.

2. Hot chocolate with coconut milk

Coconut Hot Chocolate

I don't know what on earth I was doing before making hot chocolate with milk, coconut milk is a game changer. Coconut adds a natural thickness to the chocolate as well as a less synthetic sweet kick. As previously mentioned in a recent post, I'm a self-confessed chocolate addict and I haven't planned to change this fact, now even less so having discovered this concoction delivered by the gods.

3. One Dance - Drake

If this doesn't get you head-bobbing or feet-tapping, you have no soul, especially since I can't dance to save my life! Utterly addictive.

4. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

As always, I'm forever late to the party when it comes to trying out super hyped up products in the beauty world, but after going to Madrid to the family I thought I would finally bite the bullet and see what all the fuss was about in their store. I very much understand why everyone's obsessed! I hate the phrase but this shade really is my lips but better.

It lasts on the lips a fair amount of time, I never expect much duration time with lipsticks in general because I normally end up eating or drinking something not long after and CBA with the touch ups. However, if you're partial to dry or chapped lips like myself I would recommend prepping with some lip balm beforehand, as when they say matte they really mean it!

5. Zara Jeans

Zara Jeans

Jeans for me are always tricky business. Given my very short legs, it takes a lot for me to find jeans that suit my leg length and fit me well. I've now accumulated 3 pairs of jeans from this one collection, and they must be some of the best quality jeans I've found in a while. They don't form those annoying creases near the knee or sag, and they don't lose their shape or colour in the wash. Totally worth investing in!

What have you been loving this week? Thanks for reading!
